Hollywood Rebranded My Hometown | How a Movie Transformed Nelson, BC
Sujata grew up in Nelson, British Columbia, a small mountain town in the Kootenays. Long before it became a film location, it was a mining town, a railway town, and later a refuge for draft resisters and counterculture communities.

Their sukkah blends Jewish wisdom and tradition with Sujata’s Indian cultural aesthetics—a vibrant meeting of two worlds. 🌿🌸

Guided by her friend, Leslie, Sujata explores the synagogues turned schools, Ukrainian cultural centres, Greek churches, pierogis, souvlaki, bagel rivalries, and Glen LeMesurier’s secret sculpture garden.
