Our Bollywood Seder: From Mumbai to Matzo

Passover ends on April 29th, this year. Since Jeff is Jewish, and Sujata is Hindu, they had to do a Passover that represents their traditions. Discover the ancient roots of the Cochin Jewish community, the miraculous shipwreck story of the Mumbai Bene Israel, and the culinary delights of the Baghdadi Jews of Calcutta. Find out a seemingly Hindu inspired ritual, brimming with flowers, nuts, and fruits that is a bedrock of the Bene Israel's belief and faith of the prophet, Elijah. But more important, find out about the two pillars of the Passover experience, the liberation from slavery, and food, glorious food.
